Thread In Time (Sci-Fi) The sky suddenly burst as a huge bolt of lightning struck the earth not far from where they stood. A purple-blue haze filled the air as the bolt of electricity stood where it had hit, emitting waves of power across the ground. A loud hum filled the air, and an uncontrollable power pulled the two girls forward. |

In Time (Adventure-Romance) Jimmy sat at the Marshal's desk, his feet propped up, hat over his face. Things had finally quieted down enough where the only sounds were those of people conversing as they passed by the office. There was a crisp chill in the air which told them fall was now here. Summer had come and gone way too quickly. |

The Love Of Guilt (Drama) Sighing, Jimmy straightened up. Teaspoon had to run some errands in Fort Laramie and wouldn't be back for a day or two. Until then, Jimmy knew, he just knew, Cody, being the lazybone he was, would take advantage of the whole situation and gave everyone, especially Jimmy a hell of a time just to get him up and going. Well, he definitely wasn't going to let Cody have his way. Not today. |

From Yesterday, The (Romance - alternate universe) The stage rocked and rolled over the frozen prairie as it traveled along. The Face Of Changes (Adventure) "Library." Cody corrected. "Yeah, I knew that." Jimmy flipped through the thin novel and opened a page at random. "Oh princess..." Jimmy mocked. Cody pawed at Jimmy's arm as he held the book out. Spotting a rider in the distance, Jimmy hollered "Rider Comin!" Cody took full advantage of Jimmy's distraction and snagged the book back. "Don't know what you see in that drivel anyway. Those books are about as far from truth as it comes." |

The Shadow Of the Gun (Adventure) Louise couldn't stop thinking about any of it. A few days ago they had turned a good man, Elias Mills, over to be hanged. He had saved her life. He had saved Jimmy's life too. She hated it. Could she have done anything to save him? It didn't do any good now. He was gone, another victim of circumstance. Her whole life she'd been a victim of events beyond her control and it had made her hard in some ways. |

All In The Cards (Romance- alternate) As Buck rode back into town to pick up Jimmy and the supplies, he thought about what had just happened. Usually Cody was the out-going, center-of-attention guy, and Buck was the quiet, reserved one of the group. 'Maybe some of Cody is rubbing off on me,' he thought. He was really looking forward to this evening. He couldn't believe what he'd done. |

Riders, The (Adventure) Shadows stole over the town, darkness hiding its most sinister elements. During the day, it was easy to pretend they didn't exist, to go about life without worrying, but at night only the most vile of characters ventured out. They met in alleyways, or haunted the back rooms of the saloons long after closing time, gambling, drinking, and plotting their next strike against the very foundations of the town. |

The next day they would pick up Jeremiah and Teresa and get married. The wedding arrangements had already been made on a previous ride of Kid’s and the plan of picking up Jeremiah and Teresa had been finalized by a letter written by Lou. Both Lou and Kid had managed to select their wedding attire on rides to places were they normally didn’t go and because of that no one would remember them. |

| Since
You've Been Gone (Drama) Lou sat impatiently at the coach drop off awaiting her love. Her long hair was gathered at the back of her head in a loose braid. She wore a white button up shirt that was tucked into her dark blue skirt. Although she tried to hide them, her work boots were peaking out from underneath the fabric. Dark circles had congregated underneath her glossy brown eyes, and tear trails stained her tanned cheeks. It had been almost two years since Kid had left for the war. |

of New York, The (Adventure - Alternate) Lieutenant Louise McCloud paced up and down Fifth Avenue, her brown hair plastered to her neck and face. From time to time she would stop to peer down the street, muttering to herself, her eyes inscrutable behind her dark sunglasses. She had abandoned her blazer long ago and stood in her silk tank top and slacks, her feet blissfully free in sandals. She raked her fingers through her damp hair and checked the watch slithering down her wrist. The sun glinted off the metal, causing her to wince at the sudden brilliance. God, it was hot. |

(Adventure) He’d been irritable before they even left Rock Creek and had only grown more so as the ride continued. At times Kid had felt like he was talking to himself, as Jimmy mostly ignored what he had to say and responded as briefly as he could when asked a direct question. After a while Kid had given up - he didn’t see why he should have to spend the whole ride trying to improve his fellow rider’s mood. But with the sun dipping towards the horizon, his body pleading for rest and Rock Creek still many miles off, Kid was willing to brave Jimmy’s mood for the sake of a soft bed and a long night’s sleep. |

Of The Blue Horses (Adventure - Alternate) Chicago 1932 - Heavy dark clouds loomed up above, covering the sky with an ominous gloom of imminent showers. Lake Michigan hadn't been at all forgiving to the citizens of Chicago. The weather had been wet, cold and miserable the entire week. Rain had been falling in what seemed like endless downpours. It felt like the gloom would last forever. |

Of Dreams (Adventure) Kid had promised he would write and so far had honered that promise, although at times it had been months in between each letter. Louise had tried to ride out several times in search of her beloved husband, but had been successfuly talked out of it by Rachel and, sometimes, Teaspoon. A war was no place for a lady. Even one that had once succeded in pretending to be a man. |

Words Fail (Drama) Ike nods okay. It's not that he has anything against Jimmy, (although he sometimes suspects that Jimmy sees him as weaker), he just wants to be able to prove that he is as good as any of the riders. Besides, without Buck there, Ike is going to have a hard time making Jimmy understand him. |

You See Me (Romance) "We've got work to do here," Kid replied, not certain he would appreciate a good time in the saloon. He hadn't told anybody of the few times Jed sneaked off to get a drink in the saloon, but he didn't like it. Not that Jed came home drunk or anything, it just reminded him of their Pa. And if there was something Kid didn't wanted to be reminded of it was his Pa. He was the reason they had to leave Virginia, to make a new life for them out west. |

History (Drama) Jane walked into the old, musty antique bookstore in Rockcreek, that smelled faintly of mold and dust. She was bored out of her mind. She had been wandering around the sleepy little town for over an hour while waiting for her car to be serviced at what she losely termed a gas-station. |
